Advent 2019: Learn how to grow in faith and serve others this Christmas

This December, we will celebrate 300 years of Isaac Watts' Christmas carol, "Joy to the World", and look for the unexpected ways we might experience joy in the midst of despair, challenge, and change. How can you prepare room for the coming of Christ? How can you serve others and share your joy? How does God show up to change our lives and our world?

Please download our Advent guide to see ways you can worship, serve others, and grow in faith during the Advent season.

Our events are open to anyone, whether you are new to faith, overflowing with questions, or just looking for an opportunity to hear good news.

Rev. Nathan Hill will preach a series about joy each Sunday morning and also offer a sacred time of discussion at Denizen's Brewing in Riverdale Park, MD each Wednesday evening. We'll make space as a church for neighbors who are currently experiencing homelessness during the second week of December. Our Christmas Cantata, led by our choir and guest musicians, will offer us selections of Handel's Messiah to draw us into this story. Finally, we welcome our entire community to join us for our Christmas Eve services at 7 PM and 11 PM on December 24.

May God bless you as you make room for joy and experience this season from a new perspective.
